Discover your family story! This class will teach you how to begin doing genealogical research – where to look for information and how to organize and preserve what you find. All the major record sources are discussed (census, civil, church, migration, cemetery, military, land, court, newspapers, books and more), as well as how DNA testing can be used to verify and uncover ancestors in your tree.

Instructor:  Colleen Murray

Colleen Murray is a professional genealogist in Edmonton. She earned a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies in 2015, and completed ProGen, an 18-month project-based professional genealogy course in 2016. She specializes in Irish and Canadian research, and in applying DNA to genealogical problems.
